Professor Winston Winkleby’s Warehouse Workshop Designed by Valerie B.
Valerie’s enjoyment of science fiction movies and the steampunk era is evident in her grand prize-winning entry, Professor Winston Winkleby’s Warehouse Workshop.
Among her favorites in the scene is the workbench, which is based on a jeweler’s workbench. Its drawers are filled with all kinds of mini tools she made herself. Chronos the dog, also a favorite, is made of watch parts and is based on her real dog.
Valerie’s advice to other miniaturists is to not throw anything away - ideas come from everywhere. For example, the roof in her scene is made of packaging plastic, wood, and cardboard. The telescope is made from bullet casings, watches, and alarm clocks.
