Dollhouse Makeover Inspirations

Posted by Heather Benamy on 10th Jul 2017

Fixing up old dollhouses has become a popular trend for new and old miniaturist alike. From design story boards to blueprints, there’s just as much planning and time involved in renovating a dollhouse as there is in a real home! Four bloggers Nalle’s House, Primitive & Proper, Semigloss Design, and Thoughts from Alice teamed up and they took on the challenge of making over their own dollhouses. We’ve highlighted some of our favorite rooms for inspiration in your own dollhouse makeover.

Nalle’s House Scandinavian Kitchen

We’re obsessed with this Scandinavian style farmhouse kitchen by Anu at Nalle’s House. From the gold faucet to the geometric backsplash to the marble waterfall counter, this kitchen really sets itself apart from traditional miniature kitchens. Thoughts from Alice Global Living Room

Alice from Thoughts from Alice went for a “collected, global, bohemian vibe” when making over this dollhouse living room and she hit the mark. There are so many handmade and inventive details in this space. From the hanging planter to the gold light fixture to the vintage patterned pillows, we don’t know where to look first! Not to mention, our Sunburst Mirror has never looked better! For more pictures on Thoughts from Alice’s dollhouse living room makeover, click here. Her Dollhouse Princess Girl's Room is magical.

Primitive and Proper’s Boho Bedroom

Cassie from Primitive and Proper designed this simple boho bedroom. She used a bold print to create a focus wall behind the bed. The gold accents in the light fixture and brass bed add a mid-century touch. For more pictures on Primitive and Proper’s Boho Dollhouse Bedroom, click here.

Semigloss Design's Eclectic Bathroom

Our favorite thing about this eclectic bathroom room by Semigloss Design are the maps on the wall. It’s an easy way to add interest to a space. The white shiplap and the gray floor tile help tone down the bathroom making it feel like a peaceful escape. For more pictures on Semigloss Design’s miniature bathroom makeover, click here.
