A Houseworks innovation has fine-tuned the concept of battery-operated dollhouse lighting! This well designed, high-quality fixture has a battery case which unscrews to access the battery. The included 3V CR1632 lithium battery is replaceable and will last approximately 50 hours. The LED bulb is not replaceable but will burn for about 4,000 hours and put out much less heat than traditional bulbs. Battery operated lights, especially those that use a magnetic mount, can be heavy, and are therefore best attached to a wall or ceiling in a permanent or semi-permanent manner. A solvent-based glue or an epoxy will create a permanent attachment. Drilling a hole in the magnet and screwing the magnet to the wall or ceiling will create a semi-permanent attachment. It is semi-permanent in that the screw and magnet can be removed leaving behind only a small hole.
