The Yellow Country Victorian dollhouse

About This Scene:

by Bobbye G.
The Country Victorian dollhouse was a retirement present from the employees where I had worked as the company accountant for 30 years.  It was a "Real Good Toys" kit purchased from Miniatures.com. I painted the house yellow with white trim and dark green shutters. I purchased almost all of the building materials and some of the furnishings from Miniatures.com.  I purchased the dining room set, living room furniture and most of the people from the Kensington Dollhouse Show in London, England in 2016.  A few other things were purchased at different miniature shows.  The shutters may look upside down, but I did a bit of research and found out in Victorian times, many people preferred their shutters slanting up.  The house had 15 windows so I decided to make lace curtains which is what the Victorians who lived in the country probably had anyway.
