The Book Nook Showcase Room Box Kit

Because we love the idea of a miniature display box on a shelf! Whether displayed with decorative accessories or among your books, our Book Nook is sized to look just right. Not designed for a specific scale, so many 1/12-scale and 1/24-scale items will fit nicely inside. Made of quality 1/8" MDF (medium-density fiberboard), it can be painted, stained, sealed, or wallpapered -- use any finishing treatment to make it as simple or fancy as you want it to be.

So popular in today's home décor, book nooks provide a slender, diorama-type display opportunity for any theme. Our finished example replicates a cozy reading spot with some bold accents. Your theme could be a special book or character, a treasured memory, your favorite (or dream) vacation spot, your best-loved season ... or anything that inspires you.

Easy tab-and-slot assembly -- it only goes together one way so as long as the smooth edges are at the front, you can't get it wrong. For best glue adhesion, clean the soot from the edges with high percentage rubbing alcohol, then use Weldbond or any good white or wood glue. For ease when working on your project, you can leave one side and the top unglued until complete. The kit will be sturdy enough for creating when the bottom, at least one side, and the back are glued securely.
