Product Description
High-quality black walnut veneer sheet with a laser cut plank pattern. Each plank measures 2"W x 3/8"D and the pattern is a 1/3 offset. Cut the flooring to size using a sharp blade. It is thin enough to use scissors but watch for splintering. Glue in place with a wood glue or adhesive such as Weldbond and add weights to assure the floor dries flat. The surface finish is beautiful as is. A few light passes with fine sandpaper will leave the floor move-in ready while preserving the laser pattern. If staining or varnishing test a small area first. These finishes make the wood grain more visible; some sheets may have life-scale graining. If that is not desirable, consider cutting along the laser lines to break up and redistribute the large scale pattern as demonstrated here.
