Crafty extras:
For super easy planting “soil,” use soft foam such as the cushioning in boxes of quality miniature furniture. Cut to “squeeze-fit” into the pot and color the surface with brown magic marker. Allow to dry. For planted items with stems (such as the Lycopodium pots in the bottom center of the scene), make a hole in the foam with a needle or toothpick and push the stem through. Put the planted foam into the pot and adjust with a toothpick as needed. For “seedlings,” put the colored foam into the pot and add a dot of clear-dry glue on top. Sprinkle on flocking material or finely clipped fibers, allow to dry. Our Garden Growies (#1726, #1729, #1747, #1750) would work well, too!
